These two shots were taken on farms in the Durham, Ontario region. Wintertime, shot around 4pm, available light, Canon EOS digital.

There is a certain reflection when we come across objects lost in time. The tractor, on old farm relic still sits in position, as if waiting for his master to call upon him once more, for the duty of a hard day. Yet we know, covered in rust and antiquated, he will probably never work again, called to retirement until his metal skeleton, dissolving in time, drops to the earth.

This shot speaks more about the owner than the objects themselves. Who collected these? Why? What would they do with all these old British telephone booths? If they are of importance, of museum grade, then why do they sit unprotected, broken, exposed to the elements? Will they feel the attention of a sanding and fresh coat of paint? Or perhaps they were a great idea lost to procrastination, only to fade away, their proud red paint to peel with time’s onward march.
